نصب بزرگترین توربین بادی-ساحلی جهان
بزرگترین نیروگاه بادی و ساحلی جهان در نزدیکی سواحل جنوب غربی انگلیس آغاز به کار کرد. به گفته شرکت سوئدی مجری این پروژه 100 توربین بادی نصب شده قادرند به مدت یک سال برق 200 هزار خانه را تأمین کنند.
محل نصب این توربین ها دریای شمال بوده و 12 کیلومتر با ساحل فاصله دارد و هدف از راه اندازی آن کاهش مصرف سوخت های فسیلی و دسترسی بیشتر مردم به انرژی ها نو عنوان شده است.
هر توربین 115 متر ارتفاع دارد و مساحت کل نیروگاه برابر با یک زمین فوتبال است. در صورتی که توربین ها با کل ظرفیت خود کار کنند قادر خواهند بود 300 مگاوات انرژی تولید نمایند.

What would happen if we knew the events ahead of us? Would it be possible to change our destiny, whether sweet or bitter? While many of us call it superstition, some folks take fortune telling seriously; to such an extent that they spend a huge sum of money on it. But why?
They might be after avoiding their fate, or preventing sad things from happening. Supposing they knew what the future would bring, how are they going to take advantage of their knowledge? Most of the time it requires divine power to do so.Since millions of factors, literally, seal our fate. It is, definitely, not within human power to have any impact on all of them.
What’s more, if fortune tellers had the credentials to predict anything, world leaders would resort to them, not only before making their decisions, but also in times of disasters. If so, some issues like the credit crunch would not be high on the agenda.
Fortune telling is certainly fascinating, providing it is confined to our moments of fun. Otherwise, this kind of racket renders the gullible believers penniless and the crafty frauds prosperous.

It wasn’t too long after I had started studying languages that I found it impossible to set aside my dictionary.

My learning interrupts if the book is not within my sight, that’s why it is impossible to separate from it. I should be grateful to a teacher of mine who used to preach over the advantages of a good dictionary all the time.
